Me Make New Year's Resolutions?? Nah.......

It the past, I have made many, MANY New Years Resolutions.

They have ranged from, not being stressed, to losing weight to saving more money.

And as usual, by mid-Feburary, I have either forgotten the resolutions or have no interest in keeping up with them anymore.

This time around, I decided NOT to make any resolutions.

And it felt quite good to be honest.

I realized that as long as I do my BEST in what every situation I am in, then that covers any and all resolutions that I could come up with.

What about you. Did you make any New Years Resolutions?

I don't do resolutions either, but I did tell myself it was time to get back on Weight Watchers. I've gained all but 2 pounds back that I had lost over 4 years ago.

My sisters and I have a tradition of making intentionally appalling New Year's Resolutions.

Don't hate me but previous resolutions have included:
* Use Profanity More Often
* Use More British Slang (back to back years there)
* Master a really fattening new recipe (I did deep fried empanadas)
* Spend $100 on something with nothing to show for it
* Make the other sibling(s) eat a bug -- with or without them knowing it
* Play any game with your own contrived winning conditions (this year)... for example, playing "Words with Friends" ... winning is not based on the points scored but on being able to make the other person ask "what does that word mean?" or go look up a word.

We're a strange family -- some of those aren't even resolutions... they're more like "to-do" lists. BTW, the profanity one went over horribly when introduced because everyone thought I was intentionally making myself worse; but, in the end, it actually ended up being one of the best because of the creative ways I tried to incorporate the words. It is what inspired the British slang one the following year.

This year I made goals instead of resolutions. Works much better for me :)
